For a long time Tumblr was a bit of a mystery to me. Of course, the best way to learn about something is to use it but I never had a reason to. Then a Twitter friend pointed me at a project, whereby one was supposed to post a picture a day for 2012. I came to this late, on January 16th, but I was assured that it was all right, as long as I posted 366 photos.

I managed the 366 consecutive days although I rapidly found the project most valuable for the discipline of ensuring that I write something each day, although it was fun – and occasionally stressful – trying to find an interesting photo each day.
Since January 16th 2013, I’ve only posted to Tumblr intermittently but I do still write daily on Blipfoto.
